The Studio Blog is announcing a "change of address"

That's right all you loyal blog followers, it's time to update your bookmark, link, RSS feed, etc.  We're moving!  Actually, we've moved, but just haven't told anyone.  Here's your official notice.  The Studio Blog for Lora Carr Photography can now be found at www.loracarr.com/blog  Wow, that's such an easy address.  If you forget, and stumble back here, no worries.  This blog will remain open until the first day it hits 95 degrees (probably the end of June.)  Take a peek at the new design.  Bigger images!  I mean really big images.
Post = image, so here's a fun one from yesterday's career day.  One of the things I let the students do was mess around with Photobooth on my MacBook.  See you at the new blog.  Let me know what you think :)

Career day at Haddonfield Middle School

Check out these images from 8th Grade Career Day at Haddonfield Middle School.  What an awesome group of teens!  As a presenter, I was honored to share the spotlight with the incredibly talented L.A. and NY makeup artist, Julie Clevering.  We grabbed one lucky (brave) student from each group to be our "model" for our shoot.  I think everyone had a great time.  What do you think?

Senior Season

It's senior season!  Senior model reps are having their sessions this week and our new "Seniors" website will launch on June 1st.  Don't pose for those "cheesy" posed portraits in the middle of the hot humid summer.  Instead schedule a relaxed, fun, location shoot for your senior portraits.  Wardrobe changes - definitely.  Listen to your iPod music on our player while we shoot - of course :)  Great locations that let you show the real you.  An awesome alternative to the "ho-hum-tilt-your-head-and-say-cheese" photo session.  The best part - great photos for you and your family (and your Facebook/myspace account!)  Book your senior session today.Senior

The perfect hug

I love this image of this amazing couple who have been married for 53 years! I had the opportunity to photograph them along with their children and grandchildren in Moorestown this afternoon. We were lucky to shoot the session in between a downpour and a thunderstorm. Here's a sneak peek for this wonderful family before the gallery becomes available on-line. Thank you to all who stood in the soggy grass and smiled!

Boys will be boys.....wherever you go

My boys and I were lucky enough to meet up with this handsome lot in a small sailing village on the south coast of England last week. The weather was beautiful, but I'm sure the temperature of the river was chilly, though it didn't stop these boys from jumping.

The best part of traveling internationally with our children is showing them, not the tourist attractions, but rather everyday life in other towns and cities throughout the world. These boys were terrific and welcomed my children right into their fun. Cheers! More of England when I get time to upload :)

38,000 feet and very little WiFi

I just returned from a wedding in England. It was fabulous and an excellent reminder to me why I'm NOT a wedding photographer. I have such an appreciation for photographers who shoot weddings. Well, I'm being pestered to post shots from England. I will soon, however, I had better WiFi connections on a ship in the middle of the Caribbean than I did in this lovely small village on the south coast of England. Here's a quick one from 38,000 ft up flying over Labrador/New Foundland. Cheers!

Haddonfield's IFC Touch A Truck...A Hit!

Months of planning, organizing, preparing and then it rained at 8:00 am for 10 minutes. Luckily the weather cooperated and Interfaith Caregivers' 3rd annual Touch-A-Truck Family Festival was a huge hit! Our facepainter, Michelle, from Fancy Faces Face Painting is incredibly talented and was loved by all the children. Here's a quick shot of one of her creations and a happy customer. Thanks to all who supported this amazing event!
